Monday 27th April saw the Disaronno team and fans enjoy the end of
season awards at the spacious and luxurious venue of Tiffins Wine Bar and
Restaurant at the heart of Southend-On-Sea.
Disaronno were catered for in every means with gorgeous food, drink and music.
The evening saw Stu pick up the fiercely contested “Golden Boot” award for his 27 goals throughout the season.
The “Thanks for Coming” award is for the person that received the most amount of Donkey of the Week’s during the season, there was a tie for this booby prize between Jamie and Bryan. Without these two players knowing a vote swept through the team and with a unanimous decision it was Bryan who the award went to.
The Players-Player Award 08/09 threw up some interesting votes but it was Chris who clinched it.
The Managers-Player was an extremely tough decision to make as there had been so many players that had run their socks off and who had made game changing efforts, in fairness any of the players could have walked away with this award but it was whittled down to five, in the end after days of pondering the final decision was made, Octo Al was presented the award and you could tell that it was a big shock to him.
Congratulations to all the award winners, we hope they take pride of place on the mantel piece and inspire you for next season.
A great big thank you to everyone for making the event such an enjoyable one, also to Paul and Tiffins team for the warm hospitality and service, we hope that you will accept the plate as a formal thank you.
